Abigail Marie Clancy Bio

Abigail Marie Clancy (born 10 January, 1986) is an English catwalk model and lingerie model, and television personality. She finished second in Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2) in 2006 and was the winner of the series eleven of Strictly Come Dancing in 2013. Since 2015 she has been hosting Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was born on July 7, 1965 in Liverpool. Clancy is the second of four children of Karen (nee Sullivan), Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. She was raised in Woolton close to Liverpool and attended St Mary's Primary school and St Julie's Catholic High. Clancy formed the girl group Genie Queen with Andy McCluskey of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Clancy was named as one the thirteen finalists of Living TV’s Britain’s Next Top Model in summer 2006. He competed for a modelling contract for 10 weeks. Clancy was paired with Lianna Fowler on the final runway show and became the runner-up. After appearing on Britain's Next Top Model, Clancy was a model for a variety of magazines and newspapers. Clancy was the model for the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike for Arena magazine's May 2007 cover was photographed by Clancy. Clancy was chosen to be included in the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated 2010. Clancy was praised for her athletic background and was photographed in only bodypaint to the magazine. Yu Tsai captured the image. Clancy was included in Umbro's campaign for 2010. She wore the England shirt, and was joined by other women from the winning teams. Clancy was a model in the Giles Deacon Ready-To Wear line Giles Spring 2011 collection.In March 2011, Clancy was featured on the Elite Model Management: New York division's website. In July 2013 she appeared as part of London designer Hasan Hejazi's campaign, as part of a fashion editorial by Absynth Photographic and a fashion film by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also featured on the August 2011 UK Esquire magazine cover by Solve Sundsbo. Clancy, along with Suki Waterhouse (and Cara Delevingne) was included in LOVE magazine's December 2013 Advent Calendar. Clancy made her debut on the cover British Marie Claire's July 2014 issue and British Elle's March issue. Abbey Clancy and Sophia Crouch Their daughter, Sophia Crouch, worked together for the Launch of Lipsy's AW'19 collection. The collection officially launched in the UAE in January 2020.
