Susan Sarandon Bio

It was the year after the 1968 Democratic convention and there was a casting notice for a movie with a variety of roles for the kind of young people who had disrupted the convention. Joe (1970) was auditioned in New York by two recent Catholic University graduates. Chris Sarandon, an actor who was trained in acting, was not selected. His wife Susan was offered a part as Susan Compton. She plays the daughter of Bill Compton (Dennis Patrick).
