In the earlier days (i.e. early 2020, comedians might be envisioned spending years gigging up and down the UK as stand-up comedians, prior to being invited to a TV panel show and then selling out an arena tour. It's not easy right now. Comedy is a form of art that can continue to be performed before an audience in person. But, we're not going to see arena tours anytime in the near future. But one Bristol comedian has found a worldwide audience through social media lockdown. Abi Clarke never set her sights on becoming an internet celebrity. Abi, 24 lives in Henbury. She started making online videos "to create a community of like-minded people who could enjoy my standup comedy." "I was doing a lot more shows in Devon to men aged 50 and above, and I began making online videos hoping to build a following of like-minded people who would appreciate my stand-up comedy." Abi said.
