Moss was born on February 13, 1977. He is an American footballer. He was a
player for the Minnesota Vikings (Oak Raiders), New England Patriots (New
England Patriots), Tennessee Titans (Tennessee Titans) and the San Francisco
49ers in the National Football League. The most admired wide receiver of all
time, alongside Jerry Rice, he holds the NFL single-season record for touchdown
receptions (23 in 2007) in addition to the NFL single-season record of
touchdown receptions for rookies (17 in 1998) and is second in the NFL all-time
regular season touchdown list with 156. Moss is famous for his ability to make
contested catches. The term "mossed", which has been incorporated
into the football vocabulary, was popularized due to the fact that he was a
successful. Following his time in football and broadcasting, he began working
as a studio analyst for ESPN for their Sunday NFL Countdown program and Monday
Night Countdown. Moss was born at Rand, West Virginia. Moss was a student at
DuPont High School. This was one of two schools that later amalgamated to form
Riverside High School. He excelled at football, basketball and baseball. Randy
was also a part of the school's debate group. Moss was a DuPont Panthers'
football player who helped them win back-to-back state championshipsin 1992 and
1993. Moss was an outstanding wide receiver and also played free safety,
returned punts and kickoffs, as well as was the team's kicker and punter. He
received the Kennedy Award for West Virginia Football Player's of the Year in
1994. Parade magazine named him to their All-American high school football
teams in the year 1995. In 2009 they named him as one of the top 50 high school
football players of all-time.
